ABOUT

Linda Priebe is a renowned EU-US Data Privacy/Protection/Security and Digital and Social Media compliance and Federal Relations lawyer. Linda worked as Deputy General Counsel and Agency Ethics Official in the White House Office of Drug Policy (ONDCP) 1999-2013. Serving fourteen years in various capacities in White House offices, Linda has been a trusted legal advisor to three U.S. presidential administrations. While at White House Drug Policy, Linda was counsel in over a dozen cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, ethics counsel in ten Senate confirmations of Presidential Appointees, and digital and social media compliance counsel.

Linda is certified in European Data Privacy Law (CIPP/E) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).  She is a member of the Privacy & Cybersecurity faculty of the Fordham University Masters of Studies in Law and a member of the ABA Cybersecurity Legal Task Force. Prior to joining Practus, Linda worked as a partner at Culhane Meadows PLLC where she was Chair of the Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Practice Group and Co-Chair of the Government, Regulatory, and Compliance Practice Group. Prior to ONDCP Linda was Acting Legal Director at the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law in Washington DC; Assistant Utah Attorney General for Indian Affairs; Member of the Utah State Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board; and attorney in private practice representing Indian Tribes in environmental and natural resources litigation.

When not practicing law, Linda is a Norwegian-American mezzo-soprano performing music ranging from classical and opera to gospel. She has performed for thousands including foreign ambassadors and the Norwegian Royal Family at venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Royal Norwegian Embassy and Shea Stadium. Linda’s debut CD “Land of the Midnight Son: Norwegian Christmas in America” received rave reviews, radio airplay and was nominated for Classical Album and Classical Vocalist of the Year by the Washington Area Music Association.
