For over 25 years as a general counsel and corporate lawyer, Rick has helped his clients exceed their goals navigating complex issues including business transactions, commercial contracts, litigation, compliance, regulatory affairs, human resources, and labor matters. In addition to his deep background in governmental affairs, Rick’s pro-bono leadership in non-profit organizations speaks to his commitment to make the world a better place. He serves as an adjunct professor at Temple University and is currently working to complete his PhD. in political science (December 2020). His academic work will enable Rick to bring additional value to his clients by applying lessons from social science to their opportunities and challenges in a world where rapid change is the rule. Prior to joining Practus, Rick served as the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Tronox Limited, General Counsel and VP of Human Resources for Tronox Alkali Corporation, and Assistant General Counsel at FMC Corporation.
Rick is an enthusiastic participant in a variety of pursuits outside of his work, whether that’s hiking, skiing, biking, kayaking, or listening to and creating music. Rick and his wife Nancy enjoy visiting New York City, where their two adult children are thriving.
