IT Law Conference and GDPR Day in Sweden
Washington, D.C. – Data privacy laws are rapidly evolving in the U.S. and Europe which means Practus’ Linda Priebe, who focuses her practice on EU and U.S. data privacy/protection compliance, commercial transactions and government relations – is busy.
Keynote address at Stockholm’s IT Law Conference
On March 14th, she will be the keynote speaker at the IT Law Conference/IT-ratt offentlig sektor Conference in Stockholm, Sweden. Priebe will address international data transfers in the context of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Making sense of new federal, state laws, including spy policies at GDPR
On April 17th, Priebe will speak at one of the largest data protection conferences in the Nordic region, GDPR Day (General Data Protection Regulation Day) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Priebe will tackle the changing landscape of data privacy laws in the U.S., including new federal regulations as well as the 13 new state laws and new policies and practices from 12 U.S. intelligence agencies.
Priebe says, “I’m delighted to be invited to speak at both of these international conferences in Sweden and share insights about how companies and organizations can minimize their data protection risks, while growing their international business at the same time.”
Priebe has deep experience in data privacy/protection, compliance and government relations. She served 14 years as Deputy General Counsel and Ethics Official at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), an Adjunct Professor of Data Privacy and Cybersecurity in Fordham Law School’s Masters in Corporate Compliance Program and a member of the American Bar Association’s Cybersecurity Legal Task Force.
