1. Reimagining the Way We Look at Practice Areas within a Modern Law Firm
Growth is more than just a numbers game – it’s about evolving our approach to provide the best legal services for our clients. As we continue to expand, we see an opportunity to think differently about our practice areas.
In 2025, we’re implementing new leadership structures and resources designed to foster collaboration, enhance resource-sharing, and strengthen client outcomes across our firm. One of the biggest initiatives we’ve been working on to make this possible is a complete revamp of our practice areas and their organization.
This reorganization allows us to:
- Gather our related specialties into broader categories, allowing for deeper cross-practice collaboration, ensuring clients benefit from a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Drill down into specialty practice areas like patent prosecution, expanding our service offerings to address clients’ most complex needs.
- Provide attorneys with robust leadership and mentorship opportunities within their practice areas
By enhancing the way our practice areas operate, we’re creating an environment where both attorneys and clients thrive – a hallmark of the modern law firm model.
2. Embracing Emerging Technologies
Innovation has always been a core value at Practus, and 2025 marks a deeper investment in technology to empower our attorneys to enhance their client services. One of our key initiatives is leveraging advanced AI tools to provide better business intelligence. With 79% of legal professionals now using AI within their practice, this investment is a must for any modern law firm.
Our new, custom-built reporting tool, launched in January, is providing our attorneys with up-to-date data and insights into their accounts and collections, helping them run their books more efficiently. By providing access to more detailed information, we’re enabling our attorneys to manage their client relationships more effectively, while working smarter and faster.
We believe this investment in technology is not just about staying ahead of the curve; it’s about giving control back to our attorneys and enhancing the client experience every step of the way. Our January AI launch is just the start as we’ll continue rolling out more custom reports and dashboards throughout the year.
3. Growing by Leaps and Bounds as a Modern Law Firm
2024 was a year of unprecedented growth for Practus, with 17 attorneys and four professional staff members joining our team. In 2025, we’re continuing that momentum and have already welcomed four new partners since January 1st. By mid-year, we expect to have already matched last year’s growth with more exciting developments in the pipeline.
Our growth isn’t limited to individual additions:
• This year, we’re welcoming legal groups that will bring their entire team along to provide even more depth and breadth to the legal services we provide
• We’re excited to announce a strategic alliance with Burlingtons, a sophisticated UK-based legal and consulting firm, that extends our Practus services beyond American borders, expanding our firm on a global scale.
• In today’s interconnected world, the ability to navigate cross-border legal matters is more important than ever. We expect the international presence of Practus to continue to grow throughout 2025.
The addition of legal groups within the US and abroad allows us to better serve our international clients with a team of attorneys and staff equipped to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional needs, regardless of where in the world they operate. This expansion reflects the Practus commitment to developing a modern law firm model that’s truly full-service for our clients.
