Andres Idarraga is a seasoned legal, strategic, and executive counselor and advisor. His goal is to provide concrete, actionable advice and work-product to issuers of Exchange-Traded Products (ETP) and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF), fintech innovators, and established financial institutions. His work primarily focuses on security issuances, regulatory compliance, product counseling, and general corporate matters. Andres began his career as a litigator, served as General Counsel & COO at an ETP company, and co-founded an impact-investing fintech.
Outside of his legal work and through a non-profit he co-founded, Andres is working on developing curricula that teach low-income students self-awareness, critical thinking, and cognitive flexibility skills (together, meta competence skills) that he hopes will help them engage with education and achievement in a more purposeful way, thereby helping to close the achievement gap.
When not working, you’ll find Andres playing sports with his three kids or training for half or full marathons.

Andres Idarraga began his legal career as a commercial litigator at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, where his experience included representing plaintiffs in a securities class action case that reached the U.S. Supreme Court twice, ultimately resulting in a $100 million settlement. He then served as General Counsel for an international finance firm specializing in securitized investment products. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the firm’s rapid expansion, managing the legal and operational frameworks for over $1 billion in assets under administration.
