Danny Brown is a controller and finance leader with more than 15 years of experience supporting law firms, professional services organizations, and education institutions. He most recently served as Controller at Dontzin Kolbe & Fleissig LLP, where he oversaw multi-entity accounting operations, month-end close, ProLaw time and billing, and partner reporting for a high-end litigation practice. Across his career, Danny has managed AP/AR, budgeting and forecasting, payroll and benefits, and audit readiness while building processes that improve accuracy and speed for busy leadership teams. He is known for his ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights, his advanced Excel skills, and his hands-on approach to optimizing systems and workflows.
Outside of work, Danny is a devoted dad who loves baking for his daughter and experimenting in the kitchen to create treats that fit her dairy, nut, and egg allergies. He enjoys getting outside, discovering hole in the wall restaurants, and has recently picked up skeet shooting and tufted rug making as hobbies. A long-time anime fan, he counts One Piece as a favorite, and he’s passionate about nurturing his daughter’s love of art, singing, and theater, with a shared dream of one day helping her meet Lin Manuel Miranda.
