Lisa Bell is a seasoned commercial litigator with extensive trial experience, representing both private businesses and public agencies in high-stakes legal matters, throughout the country. She works as a business advisor and strategist starting at the beginning with the pre-litigation process through appeals. As counsel for management/employers, she consistently earns defense verdicts and dismissals, reduced costs, and judgment awards, and builds best business practices while meeting client goals. Her key clients range from emerging companies, technology businesses, insurance carriers, energy companies, as well as healthcare providers, and government contractors.
Lisa advises on employment matters, in various industries, on harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims, wage/hour disputes, work performance, discipline, termination, family leave, and compliance with regulatory agencies like the U.S. Department of Labor, EEOC and OFCCP. She has assisted clients with internal workplace investigations, document and policy reviews, and racial and government audits before state and federal courts and agency administrative boards.
As a former assistant attorney general, she routinely works with public agencies on matters of administrative and municipal law. Her role as general counsel extends to both public and private clients on energy use regulations, grants and funding, and compliance, utilities, and environmental law.
When not working, you’ll find Lisa enjoying the trek roaming through art exhibits, and thrift shops in the winter, across lacrosse fields in the spring supporting her midfielder son, and at various harbors and beaches on the eastern seaboard in the summers.
