Before joining Practus LLP, Jawwad practiced at Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP, where he handled high-stakes cases throughout Michigan, and previously served as counsel for AAA – The Auto Club Group, defending insurers in no-fault and automobile negligence matters. Earlier in his career, he gained trial and appellate experience at several Michigan defense firms and served as a Judicial Clerk in the Oakland County Circuit Court.
When not practicing law, Jawwad devotes his time to his family and to a range of outdoor activities. He enjoys golfing, traveling, hiking, and cycling, which provide a balanced complement to his professional work.

Jawwad Khan has held litigation roles across several Michigan firms, working on product liability, toxic tort, automobile negligence, contract dispute, and insurance coverage matters. His background includes serving as litigation counsel for AAA The Auto Club Group, practicing at Novara Tesija and Pedersen Keenan, and managing asbestos and negligence cases at Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP as the firm’s sole Michigan attorney. He began his legal career as a Judicial Clerk in the Oakland County Circuit Court.
He has handled claim evaluation, case strategy, motion practice, and discovery across a wide range of disputes. His experience includes an appearance before the Michigan Court of Appeals and work involving complex factual records and technical medical issues. He focuses on defending clients, assessing risk, and providing clear, practical recommendations throughout the course of litigation.
