Jess Houston has over 12 years of Paralegal experience. She began working as a Paralegal at the County Office of Public Defense, later serving in the Civil Division of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Jess also has experience working in Immigration law and Personal Injury. Since joining Practus, her current area of expertise includes Estate and Tax Planning, Probate, Real Estate Transactions and Business Formation. In this role, Jess assists the firm with drafting, proofreading, editing, and finalizing documents related to estate planning and business formation as well as processing and filing local, state, and federal forms related to real property transfers, business formation, and estates and trusts.
After living in California, Maine, and Georgia, Jess moved back home to Washington. She enjoys spending her free time kayaking and paddleboarding the many shorelines on Lopez Island and hiking with her family on Mt. Rainier. Jess is also a novice mushroom hunter, preferring to take interesting photographs of the mushrooms she finds rather than eat them.
