Tim Billick is a patent and intellectual property attorney specializing in IP litigation, trademark and patent prosecution, and technology licensing. His experience extends to a wide range of technology areas, including mechanical engineering, software, medical devices, and consumer products. Tim has represented clients in jury trials and before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the International Trade Commission, and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Tim grew up framing and renovating homes, and has been working with creators and engineers his whole life – so the transition from carpentry into intellectual property law was a natural one. He also ran a live music venue in college and his own law firm prior to joining Practus, so he understands the life of an entrepreneur.
Tim has spent his entire career working in the tech-centric Pacific Northwest, so he has worked on cases ranging from semiconductors to software to household appliances. Having worked for large firms, medium-sized boutiques, and as a solo practitioner, he knows how to get results for companies of any size, and he knows the importance of working within a budget.
When Tim is not working, you will find him writing, recording, and performing music or training his dogs. (You may also find him playing video games while he thinks about finishing any number of home renovation projects).
