Perri Melnick has been a business minded corporate and health care regulatory and transactional attorney for more than 20 years. Her practice focuses on advising health care providers, hospitals, medical groups, and start-ups on a broad range of business, transactional, general corporate, licensing and regulatory matters, including business formation and structuring, mergers and acquisitions, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, service and consulting agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, vendor agreements, compliance programs and policies and procedures. In addition, Perri advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters (including fraud and abuse issues, licensure, privacy and corporate practice of medicine) and day to day business and operational issues. Perri also serves as outsourced General Counsel for a number of her clients.
Perri lives with her family in the mountains outside of Los Angeles where she loves to ski, hike, read and spend time on the lake. When not working, you’ll find Perri reading, relaxing and throwing a frisbee to her dog.
Perri is also an elected City Council Member in the City of Big Bear Lake and the current Mayor.

After obtaining her law degree, Perri spent the first part of her career practicing law as part of premier health care practices at Hooper Lundy & Bookman, McDermott Will & Emery and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. There she represented healthcare clients on a broad range of corporate, transactional and regulatory matters. She also served as Vice President of Legal Affairs for IPC HealthCare (formerly IPC The Hospitalist Company) where she oversaw all legal functions of the company including negotiating and closing more than 90 physician practice acquisitions. Thereafter, Perri went to work for DaVita HealthCare Partners as Group General Counsel in charge of west coast operations. Perri returned to private practice in 2016 as part of the Health Care and Corporate Departments at Crowell & Moring, LLP where she represented small businesses, managed care plans and health care providers before starting her own practice in October 2018. In addition to her legal work, in 2021 Perri was elected to the Board of Directors of the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District and, in 2022 she was elected to City Council in her community of Big Bear Lake where she currently serves.
