John Lubitz brings over 40 years of valuable experience as a Business/Corporate Services and Real Estate attorney to our team. Through his Business/Corporate Services practice he has counseled clients on all facets of the life of a business – from startup/organization to governance/operational issues, mergers, acquisition and contracting, as well as winding down and dissolving businesses – and everything in between. John often acts as outside general counsel for his clients. Handling those matters that are within his expertise, and for those matters that are not within his wheelhouse, he finds the right professional to handle the matter, and then assists his client in managing the project. He is well versed in entity formations including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, non-profits, and associations, as well as general business planning and transactions. Through his vast experience, John has developed a practical, entrepreneurial business philosophy which allows him to provide a full range of business and transactional services to established and emerging growth companies.
In addition, John has a strong real estate background, and has handled complex transactions in, and all facets of, all major real estate industries, including, but not limited to: Office, Hospitality, Retail, Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Multi-family, Agricultural, Oil, gas, and natural resources, Water law, and Land use and zoning.
Through this John has handled development projects, acquisition and disposition transactions, financing, leasing (both landlord and tenant), title, due diligence aspects, and environmental matters.
Away from work, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Paula, family (including their three granddaughters), and Rio, his German Sheperd. John and Paula enjoy traveling, hiking, and everything outdoors. They spent years scuba diving the Caribbean, and now look forward to seeing more of this beautiful country.
