ABOUT

Todd Yoho works closely with Knicole Emanuel in our Healthcare practice group as the group’s paralegal and Business Manager, concentrating on Medicare and Medicaid litigation, health care regulatory compliance, administrative and regulatory law, including HIPAA and cybersecurity with electric medical records. Todd has 16 years combined experience in litigation support and healthcare law, including drafting and filing all pleadings and other papers in state, federal and administrative courts, e-discovery review and process, statutory and procedural rules research, and regulatory compliance.

Todd has extensive experience assisting with representing physicians, home health and hospice, dentists, chiropractors, hospitals, and durable medical equipment providers with defending against post payment reviews, prepayment reviews, suspension of reimbursements, allegations of fraud, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, and other regulatory and cybersecurity issues. Todd has assisted with successfully defending long term care, nursing homes, and residential facilities when regulatory penalties or summary suspensions are implemented by RACs, MACs, UPICs, CERTs, TPE audits.

Todd has deep experience in the healthcare industry where he worked before transitioning into the paralegal field. Working is way up to Team Leader in a hospital medical records department, Todd gained insight and established a rapport when interacting with healthcare practitioners and administrators. His healthcare experience has been invaluable in working in diverse matters such as healthcare law, health administration, and regulatory compliance, but also in medical malpractice, personal injury, healthcare transaction law, contracts and corporate documents, and workers compensation.

In his capacity as Business Manager for the healthcare law practice area, he oversees cash flow/profitability, setting and achieving practice goals, risk analysis and strategic advice for the Healthcare practice, its clients, and in prosecuting cases. His title as paralegal carries a certain level of expectation, when he can, and does, so much more than what is commonly associated with that role.
