Bob Elwood

Partner

Bob has a long track record of helping clients launch innovative financial products and funds. His practice focuses primarily on mutual funds, hedge funds, offshore funds, exchange-traded funds, REITs, REMICs, and other investment products. He has handled hundreds of reorganizations, mergers, and acquisitions. Before joining Practus, Bob was an equity partner at Dechert LLP.

Bob graduated magna cum laude in 1989 from Boston University School of Law, where he won numerous academic accolades, including the West Publishing Award for being ranked first in his class. Bob was a member of the Law Review. He has co-taught Corporate Finance at Yale Law School.

John Lively

Managing Partner

John devotes his entire practice to the needs of clients in the investment management industry. He represents investment advisers, mutual funds, and private funds. John has worked for several large law firms, including Dechert LLP, two major financial services companies, and a Big Four accounting firm.

John is a 1998 graduate of the Columbus School of Law of the Catholic University of America and a 1991 graduate of The Citadel, where he studied business.

His discipline for fitness and integrity began at The Citadel, and continues today for his clients.
